Erica Haynes LCPC
Life can look perfectly fine on the outside while feeling anxious and exhausting on the inside. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who appear to have it together, but privately feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to break. Whether that shows up in repeating relationship dynamics, relying on coping strategies like alcohol, substances, food, or overworking, or getting caught in cycles of perfectionism and self-criticism that make it hard to ever feel like you are doing enough.
I work with adults who want to understand the patterns beneath their struggles and begin making meaningful change. Our past experiences, especially painful or confusing ones, shape how we see ourselves and relate to others, and together we explore how these experiences continue to affect self-esteem, relationships, and overall well-being. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct when needed. I believe therapy is most effective as an honest, engaged conversation.
I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I hold specialized training in trauma treatment, EMDR, addiction, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Couples Therapy. I am also a proud mom of two and a Chicago native, and I bring both professional expertise and genuine humanity to my work with clients.
